— Kota restaurants, sauna and hot tub —

We have two beatiful and warm kota restaurants close to Saariselkä. Those are perfect for lunch and dinner service, also for special events like birthday party etc. One is called as "Poropiha" and other "Taimenjärvi". Both kota restaurants are open only by pre-order, and only for your group as private. 

Poropiha kota restaurant is located closer to Saariselkä centrum, it can be reached by car or snowmobiles, even by walking. During the winter months our reindeer salutes you when you arrive! If you want to meet Santa Claus in his secret hideaway cottage, we can arranger that too...  

Taimenjärvi kota restaurant is located outside of Saariselkä in a quiet primeval forest. We travel there by car or buss, by snowmobiles or by mountain bikes! Close to kota hut is a small beatiful lake where you can try your luck with fishing: in winter ice fishing and in summer rodfishing. Finnish wooden heated auna and hot tub are available if you want to to have a real local experience! Maybe the high light of your evening could be a joiku perfomrance by local Sami singer??

Food allergies and special diets are always agreed by advance notice. We use mainly local ingredient like elk, reindeer, trout, arctic char, lingon berries, cloudberries etc.
