Canoe and kayak rental

Most popular and exciting canoe route here in Northern Lapland is river Ivalojoki. 
We offer guided canoe and raft boat trips in river Ivalojoki, you can book your adventure online: Summer activities

We also rent canoes and kayak without guide and offer transfers to the river Ivalojoki.

Rental price for canoes is 50 €/day, 35€/extra days. 
Price include: 3*paddle, 2*helmet, 2*lifejacket, bailer and robe. We have 2 different brands: Nova Craft and Wenonah. Both are good in the river use, Wenonah is also good when paddling in the lakes. 

Rental price for single kayaks: 40€/day, 30€/extra days. Price include: spray cover, lifejacket, helmet, paddle, sponge and robe. Kayaks are for river use, we don't have rudders for kayaks. Our kayak brand is Tag Diwok Evo, we have 2 single kayaks.  

If needed, we can provide you waterproof barrels and dry bags. Please ask.
60 liters barrel - 25 € per trip, 30 liters 20 € per trip.
Large dry bags - 30 € per trip.

In case if loosing / damaging equipment to the condition that it is not possible to fix it, we charge 70% of the of the price of new item (or the price of new spare parts if repair works are possible).

We also offer canoe and kayak transportation in river Ivalojoki (trailer + max. 8 persons in the car) to put-in and take-out points. Our rental gear is at Saariselkä, you can arrive to Saariselkä by buss or if you travel with car, you can leave your car to our parking place.

Transportation to other destinations: please ask. You can start from Kuttura and continue to the lake Inarijärvi, we can pick up from Ukonjärvi or Inari village.

Ivalon-Matti - Kuttura - 42 km 

Kuttura - Tolonen - 50 km 

Tolonen - Ivalo (bridge) - 26 km

Ivalo - Veskoniemi harbour -> lake Inarijärvi - 18 km

Canoeing in lake Inarijärvi:

Inarijärvi, one of the biggest lakes in Finland with over 3000 islands, offers a vast number of starting points and routes. Possible to plan your canoe and kayak adventure from one day up to few weeks.

Canoeing in Saariselkä area:

River Tankajoki is shallow and easy river, suitable even for the beginners. The route from Tankapirtti to Purnumukka village is approx. 18 kilometers and takes at least 4 hours to paddle. You can book your self guided trip online: Self guided canoe trip on river Tankajoki 

River Luttojoki is more demanding and you should have experience with canoeing. Route from Luttojärvi to Kolmoskoski is approx. 20 kilometers and along the way there is few small streams and even one small rapid. Price for self guided trip in river Luttojoki is 250€ for 2 persons, small children can join with their parents and have extra seat in canoe. Price is including transfers and the canoe with all safety gear (lifejackets, helmets, paddles, bailer and robe). Packrafting

We rent and offer trips with packrafts, have you heard about these inflatable backpack rafts? Packrafts are colloquial terms for a small, portable inflatable boat designed for use in all bodies of water, including technical whitewater and ocean bays and fjords. A packraft is designed to be light enough to be carried for extended distances. When paddling at its best in small rivers and crossing waterways. You can rent for one day and use where you like; river Tankajoki or lake Inarijärvi, or you can rent for longer period and use it in river Ivalojoki!
